Recorded live at the Freedom Hall, Louisville, KY, July 23rd, 1976
Label E. P. Collector is back after nearly 3 years with unique release of Elvis tour opening show in Louisville, July 23rd, 1976. He CD is titled “The KING in the G.O.A.T.'s Hometown” (EPC 2023-26). Yes, it was the show that Elvis played in Muhammad Ali hometown!
Every tour opening concert was special and this one is not an exception. Listen to high spirited Elvis in great voice and good mood. July 23rd, 1976 concert is previously unreleased. This show is taken from newly found audience recorded tape and was never available in complete form and in listenable sound - until now! Carefully restored and mastered in September 2023, with a focus on preserving the integrity of the original recording. Hence, some minor hiss may be present; we felt it more important to preserve the high frequencies and natural ambience of the original recording. The sound is very good for an off line recording
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipack with local press review. All images used for the artwork were taken during July / August 1976 tour.
