Coming Soon, at the end of October, Rockin’ In Georgia (SR Records). An ambitious project aimed at highlighting Elvis's rock side in the 1970s. We decided to start, in our humble opinion, with the best rocking single: Promised Land.

The new SR will feature the first LP dedicated to an analysis of the song, with its development first explored in the studio and then in concert. At the same time, the second disc presents the first show of the April 1975 tour, surely one of the best of the year, recorded at Macon, Georgia, on April 24, 1975.

The first vinyl has a 45RPM speed, allowing the listener to enjoy an incredibly sharp sound while exploring the evolution of the song. The second vinyl presents a Soundboard recording of the Macon show which was previously released on CD, but this is the first time on vinyl format, and it has been remastered from the analog mono source will presenting an incredibly superior sound.

The glossy gatefold will be accompanied by a bonus 30x30 cm glossy photo.. A Must-have!

The SR intends to present Elvis at the peak of his possibility. Elvis’ December 1973 recording Promised Land combined with the Macon April 1975 show, is undoubtedly the best moment of both years, presenting him at the top of his game, delivering a great studio session and a great show. As suggested in the title “Rockin’ in Georgia,” The performance presents Elvis with a renovated Rocker attitude.

Quoting the Cash Box review, “Elvis really hits home”. Without doubt, the job done on the Chuck Berry confirms Elvis's ever-present ability to take a song and transform it into something unique. While the Macon concert presents us with a rediscovered Elvis who, although overweight, faces the stage with a newfound rock attitude.

The show is great and now consists of a solid collection of recently recorded songs, well-performed. The range of Elvis’ performance is still extensive, but his rocking side is finally prevalent. The rocking trilogy performed in the show, the 1972 Burning Love, the 1974 Promised Land, and his later single T:R:O:U:B:L:E: without forgetting the autobiography My Boy are without doubt represent the highlight of the show.

This new SR Special Product will be housed in a deluxe 300-gram sleeve that includes the double 150-gram vinyl and a Bonus card.

To have a special collector’s item, the 300 copies will be presented with TWO different vinyl color VARIATIONS.
